Augusta, Maine, sues Axon over Taser and body camera prices

The municipality of Augusta, Maine, filed a proposed class action against Axon Enterprise Inc. in US District Court for the District of New Jersey on Oct. 5, 2023. The complaint alleges that Axon’s dominance in the market for long-range conducted energy weapons and body-worn camera systems allowed it to charge higher prices. The lawsuit claims the police department paid inflated prices for Tasers and body cameras.
